I’ve been to the Chicago Auto Show three times and am headed back there tomorrow!  Why?  It’s so much fun!  Our family is planning on buying a new car this year, but even if you aren’t, it is a blast to check out all the new vehicle choices, up-close and personal!  My daughter and a friend went with us one day and even two 11-year old girls had fun sitting behind the wheel of all different kinds of cars and trucks.

According to the Auto Show website:  “This year marks the 109th edition of the Chicago Auto Show.  The Chicago Auto Show utilizes more than 1 million square feet in the North and South Exhibit Halls of the McCormick Place complex. McCormick Place offers a total of 2.7 million square feet of exhibit halls with an additional 700,000 square feet of meeting room availability. Exhibitions include: multiple world and North American introductions; a complete range of domestic and imported passenger cars and trucks; sport utility vehicles; and experimental or concept cars. In total, nearly 1,000 different vehicles will be on display. Additionally, attendees will also have the opportunity to see numerous accessories and auto-related exhibits, competition vehicles and project, antique and collector cars.”  We got in over 6,000 steps!

My press pass was sponsored by She Buys Cars – a fantastic website to learn more about specific models, safety features, and much more.  Be sure to check it out.  I was fortunate to be taken on a tour by the knowledgeable Scotty Reiss from She Buys Cars.  At a break I asked her about safety features – one of my top concerns for a new car.  If you are interested in learning about safety features, see minute 4 in this interview with Scotty.

Especially exciting in our tour was seeing the luxury brand, Genesis.

Also, learning of the introduction of the new Hyundai Elantra and Elantra GT.
