October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month!
I saw an interview on one of the morning shows and someone said there were still countries in the world where you couldn’t say the word, “breast”. Here in the USA, we’ve come a long way towards educating women about the danger of breast cancer and the importance of self-examinations, mammograms, and talking to your doctor. As a result, breast cancer deaths are on the decline.
Encourage the women in your life to get mammograms on a regular basis.
Pepperidge Farm has turned their Milano Cookies packages pink for the month of October! Now that’s a smart way to increase awareness – any message associated with chocolate is likely to reach me. They’ve also launched a Facebook initiative to raise money for Susan G.
