About a year, no it just feels like a year, three weeks ago my dryer died. Â Just gave up and died. Â And my washer? Â It was working but there was rust inside the little holes in the tub. Â Ew! Â Well, see for yourself. Â Isn’t this just sad?

Ew. Rust is so gross! This is the top of our dryer, which we've tried cleaning/painting/covering... with no luck.
Maytag is going to be sponsoring a blogging campaign for their appliances and I applied for the kitchen suite rather than the washer and dryer *slapping forehead*. Â Well, not really that crazy, because shortly after our dryer died, our dishwasher also kicked the bucket! Â We are experiencing major appliance issues. Â My fingers are crossed that the refrigerator holds out, but I’m afraid that is going to be the next to go. Â Anyway, I’m anxiously awaiting news about whether I’ll be “lucky” and chosen to review Maytag kitchen appliances. Â Maytag is a brand that has such an amazing reputation for dependability and quality. Â Seriously, what do you want most in an appliance? Â For me, I want it to work, and I want it to last. Â That’s Maytag.
When Sean and I decided to shop for a washer and dryer, I immediately thought of the Maytag washer and dryer that’s going to be part of the blogger campaign! Â They are called “Bravos XL”. Â I started researching it and the more I read, the more I loved about these appliances. Â They had so many great features. Â Then I went to a store to see what they looked like.
Who knew Cupid hung out in the appliance department? Â Because I saw the Maytag Bravos XL washer and dryer set, I fell in love. Â Sean saw the price tag and did. not. fall. in. love. Â If you know us, you know that I am frugal and Sean is a downright miser. Â Well, it’s true! Â But I said, honey, hold on. Â You know I can find a deal. Â So I started looking, and I did! Â With the combination of a discount, a sale, and a rebate? Bingo! Â I got the price down to something that was not totally crazy. Â And they are so beautiful!
The Maytag Bravos XL washer and dryer were delivered yesterday – I am so excited!! Â I was like a kid waiting for Christmas. Â The delivery team (who did an excellent job, by the way) were laughing at me, as I took pictures and jumped up and down. Â But hey, I don’t get new appliances every century, I mean every day. Â New appliances are a reason to celebrate in our house!
Here are my after pictures, do you like it?

A shelf for pantry overflow, a place to hang laundry, a mirror to brighten the small room and check your look before you head out the door.
More will be coming about how this amazing pair works! Â Rosie and I sat an watched almost half a wash cycle (yes, we are easily amused), it was very cool. Â Completely different from how my old washer worked.
The High Efficiency/Low-Water machine is an interesting new way to wash clothes! Â Watch for more posts and video about my new Maytag Bravos XL.
Disclosure: Â I would love to be a Maytag Mom, kitchen appliance ambassador, but as of now I am just an applicant and have received no products or compensation.
The after looks amazing! I can’t wait to read about how they work :)
Love the after! My units are working, but still jealous because I’d love an update. Someday :) GL with the Maytag Mom application, you would make a wonderful ambassador!
Congrats!!! I look forward to hearing about your experiences with the Maytag washer and dryer set.
