I love the design of Amanda Mays Design Studio site – simple but fun! Then I moved on to her portfolio and liked even more. When I asked Amanda to give me a brief introduction to describe herself, this is what she said: “I’m a 20 something Graphic Designer from a itty bitty town in Michigan. I have two beautiful children and one amazing husband. I can be found most days chasing after my beautiful rugrats – most likely trying to break up a fight or tripping over my ever-so-cute puppy. But when I can catch a few minutes to my self, I can be found on my computer and in front of my TV watching movies and designing blogs for you. I love, love, love, Diet Coke with Lemon, bare feet, rain storms, dancing with my children and falling asleep on the couch with my husband!”
Q: Do you have any advice for someone who is considering a blog makeover?
Amanda, from Amanda Mays Design Studio: My best advice would be to window shop. Look around blog designer portfolios, your friends blogs, your daily reading. Take notes on what you like and what you don’t like. Take a chance and look at color palettes – see what stands out to you. Communicating it to your blog designer will help them get a great starting point with your design.
