I went to the site Blogs by Heather to prepare for writing this post, well, 20 minutes later, I’m back to start writing. Heather obviously knows about blogs and how to engage readers! Blogs by Heather is a one-stop shop for all things related to blogs. There are fantastic posts with advice on how to create, design, and maintain a successful blog, as well as many free tutorials on blogging. But I’m getting ahead myself again, here’s more about Heather.
About Heather:
“I have Master’s Degree in Computer Information Systems and started my computer consulting business in 1995 (Premier Computer Solutions LLC). I have trained clients on Microsoft Office, as well as Photoshop, Illustrator, Quark and other graphic design applications, in addition to developing databases (using Microsoft Access, Microsoft SQL Server, and Oracle), programming in Visual Basic, and creating websites (using ColdFusion, HTML, and JavaScript).”
Heather started out working a “day job” and developing her blog business in the evenings. As of Jan, 2011, she has resigned her job and dedicated herself to her blog and newsletter business, Blogs by Heather, full time.
Blogs by Heather is offering three different prizes during Build A Beautiful Blog Week and there are three different posts on which you can enter:

Since I first got my blog up and running, there are a few issues I have with my design. First and foremost, it’s just too big – the fonts, the sidebar… I need to make it more compact! The other thing I want is more personality. This design was fine when I really didn’t have a theme to my writing, but I’m ready to have a blog look that reflects the content.
