I know Burt’s Bees’ from the amazing lip balm.  It works when others fail.  But what I didn’t know was that they have an extensive line of skin and body care products.  What sets them apart from other brands for me, is their use of natural products.  Over 95% of Burt’s Bees’ products are made right in their own manufacturing plant in Durham, NC. The rest are made by other respectable American manufacturers.  They know and control the ingredients.  Burt’s Bees’ does NOT conduct product or ingredient tests of any kind on animals. Most products are vegan, but a few contain ingredients derived from animals such as beeswax, royal jelly, milk and carmine.  The beeswax is harvested responsibly.  Sustainability is a part of their culture.

Check, check, check AND check!  I like this company.  But what about their products?  I headed over to Walmart to see what I could find.  Walmart has an attractive display of Burt’s Bees’ products and an extensive selection.

I wanted to try as many products as possible in my budget and hit the main areas of hands, feet, lips and hair.  When you are first trying Burt’s Bees’, I recommend the “kits”.  You get several smaller sized products for a very reasonable try-me price.  I bought the Burt’s Bees’ Tips and Toes Kit.

Burt's Bees' Tips and Toes Kit from Walmart

In the Burt’s Bees’ Tips and Toes Kit, the first thing I tried was the Honey and Grapeseed Hand Cream.  My favorite thing about it was the consistency.  It’s a whipped, light creamy lotion that feels wonderful on the skin.

Next in the Burt’s Bees’ Tips and Toes Kit, I tried the Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream.  I wish my blog had a smell feature so you could smell the wonderfully fresh scent of this cuticle cream.  At first I wondered about the use of the word, butter, because it was a little hard, but as soon as it warms up from the temperature of your fingers, it truly does have the texture of butter.  And I have to mention the scent again, that was my favorite feature.

The Burt’s Bees’ Hand Salve is the perfect size for slipping in your purse or pocket.  The scent on this one is a little stronger and I thought medicinal in nature, but the feeling is so moisturizing. This will be my go-to saving product for the Chicago winter!

Burt's Bees' Coconut Foot Cream Walmart

The Coconut Foot Cream in the Burt’s Bees’ Tips and Toes Kit really surprised me.  I expected a cream similar to the hand cream, but it is not at all alike.  The foot cream is more dense and oily.  I put it on and then put a small white sock on my foot – perfect for an overnight treatment.  The directions included a tip, “For a luxurious way to treat your feet, soak feet in warm water for 10-15 minutes and rub gently with a pumice stone. Massage Coconut Foot Creme into feet, paying close attention to heels and calloused skin. Then cover your feet with cotton socks overnight to soothe and seal in moisture.”  Ahhh, I can’t wait to try that!

In addition to the Burt’s Bees’ Tips and Toes Kit has their signature Replenishing Lip Balm with Pomegranate Oil.  Tried and true favorite!

Did you know Burt’s Bees’ makes hair care?  The suds on the shampoo is incredible and once again I love the scent.  My hair is very fine and I was very happy to see a volumizing option that wouldn’t weigh down my hair.

The next time you are in Walmart, be sure to try something from Burt’s Bees’ and let me know what you think!

Burts Bees Happy Birthday
