Global Influence asked bloggers to work together and help end buzzed driving by posting this information.
Did you know that in 2008, just over the Labor Day holiday weekend, 194 people were killed in crashes involving an impaired driver?
This Labor Day, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Ad Council are trying to remind people to plan ahead and designate a sober driver for any Labor Day celebrations because “Buzzed Driving is Drunk Driving.”
Keep impaired drivers off the road.  Even if they just had one drink.

One of the most important things you can do before you go out is to designate a sober driver.  If you’re throwing a party, print out some of the badges above to identify and thank designated drivers.  Make sure to offer non-alcoholic drinks for the sober drivers in your group.  There is a Facebook tab here with 50 non-alcoholic party drink recipes!
The Buzzed Driving is Drunk Driving Website has a pledge you can sign, you can play “Spot The Difference” and watch a video about how buzzed driving changed one woman’s life.

Thank you for this post and for bringing awareness to the cause. My best friend was killed by a 3x offending drunk driver without a license. There is never a safe amount to drink and drive.

    Great reminder for everyone!
