Rosie has been counting the days, excited to see the new movie from Disney/Pixar, Brave.  We have been seeing previews, commercials and trailers - she even knew it opened on June 22nd.  Our schedule was busy for Brave's opening day of June 22nd, but to keep Rosie from cracking the floor jumping up and down (well, it seemed that way) we went as soon as we could on Saturday night.  Even Sean enjoyed this movie, although he kept threatening to sneak … [Read more...]

Don't you wonder sometimes what "highlights" your kids remember from a vacation?  I asked Rosie to write a journal entry of her favorite things from our Disney Social Media Moms Celebration trip. Top Five Favorite (and Frugal) Disney Souvenirs

When we take our daughter, Rosie, to Walt Disney World, we always set a "Souvenir Budget".  When she was little, it was actually a budget for me *blush* and now that she can choose for herself, it controls spending.  If you decide on an amount to spend while you are at home (and not in that "Disney-state-of-mind"), you prevent the going-souvenir-crazy syndrome. 1.  My number one favorite, favorite, hands-down favorite souvenir is the Autograph … [Read more...]

Ideas for a Daily Journal of Your Child’s Trip to Walt Disney World

I told Rosie's teacher that she will be out of school for our upcoming trip to Walt Disney World and asked if there were any assignments that we could take with us.  Rosie's teacher replied that Rosie should keep a journal with daily entries of her experiences and then she could read it to the class when she returns.  Sean suggested that we create a booklet for her to write in, so I started making the pages!  Here's a sample of the format and … [Read more...]
