I had a blast at the Chicago Toy and Game Fair today!  The fun continues on Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm.  If you are in Chicago, enjoy a day at Navy Pier and check it out.

Bop It

My day started with meeting the inventor of the Bop It! game.  Did you know that he originally invented a remote control?  He’s holding a mock up of the original design in the picture above.  You would “bop” left or right for channel up and down.  The other Bop It! motions would adjust volume etc.  Who knew, right?!

I saw so many fun games and toys.  Here’s a quick rundown.

Razor has put a new “spin” on the go cart and created the Razor Crazy Cart.  It’s an electric ride-on that holds up to 140 lbs.  With a patented drift system, Crazy Cart allows the driver to vary the rear caster angle so you can drive and drift forward, backward, sideways, diagonally, and everything in between!

Our family loves Bananagrams and their other games like Zip-It!  I had to stop by their booth and make a quick “KLY”.

Peacable Kingdom

Peaceable Kingdom makes some of our favorite games like Willy’s Wiggly Web.  The game above is Feed the Woozle – Chocolate-covered flies and hairy pickles? Yummy! Feed the Woozle is a cooperative game where players feed the Woozle 12 silly snacks from the spoon before all the snacks are gone. Kids play together, work together and have some monstrous fun! Feed the Woozle 12 snacks and you all win!  Look for a review of Fish Stix, Puppy Lock and Key Diary and Foil Art Sticker Kit soon!  And because it’s “Lucky YOU” there will be a giveaway too!

Building Blocks

My friend Katherine McHenry who owns the amazing Building Blocks Toy Stores was at the fair, of course.  I had to stop and pick up some Rainbow Loom supplies for my daughter.  She’s has special prices on those fun charms and limited edition bands.

Pocket Fuzzies

And I loved making new friends like these Pocket Fuzzies!  “Everyone loves the puppy dog, teddy bear or elephant.  But what about the binturong, linsang or tarsier?”  Pocket Fuzzies are adorable.  I may never have heard of them, but they are real, endangered and rare species from around the world.

Shoulder Buddies

I got these for my daughter but actually she might end up having to fight me for ’em.  Shoulder Buddies are SO fun.  They clasp with a magnet and you can wear them on your shoulder, hat, or well, anywhere! They are the perfect price point for stocking stuffers, party goody bags, or just because, at about $6.

More fun with Cabot Cheese, Kool Rider, Marusenko, Numbers Alive, Spot it!, Top Trumps, Oh Toys, and Wise Alec!
