Just before the holidays, Child’s Play Communications invited me to the Holiday Bloggers Brunch at Navy Pier – yippee!!  I love blogging events – it’s one of the main reasons I blog.  This was an awesome event, held the same time as the Chicago Toy and Game Fair.  The event was designed and succeeded at connecting bloggers to companies.  It began with a panel discussion of topics facing bloggers, companies and PR agents.

….then we were treated to a delicious brunch!

Host Stephanie Azzarone, President of Child’s Play Communications was helpful and gracious.

The sponsors had set up presentation tables where we could meet and learn about their products.

Cold Stone Creamery gave us samples of their new Eight Layer Cakes.  Heavenly! “From unique ice cream creations to smoothies, cakes and shakes – nobody serves up the ultimate indulgence like Cold Stone.”

We saw the Adventures on Misty Island – so fun!  A Thomas the Train Adventure Set combining building blocks and trains.  Read my review here.

Restaurant.com is one of our house’s favorites!  We just used a gift certificate last week.  If you’ve never used it, please read about one of my experiences, here.

Playtex Baby had a table chock full of information and provided the prize for my giveaway here.

Toy State makes the fun Road Rippers.  They gave Rosie the coolest car that plays the music “Funky Town”.  Cracks me up every time she plays with it – with is often!  Read my review here and check out the deals on this toy.

Summit, makers of Backyard Safari had an awesome display of their toys.  You can read more about the company and their quest to get kids outdoors for play at my review of the Super Magnifier.

In-Zone Brands had samples of their fun and healthy, Belly Washers, Tummy Ticklers, and Tummy Ticklers for Tots.  At At IN ZONE Brands, they bottle healthy fun! Made with 100% juice.

And just when you’re ready for a little pampering – Mary Kay Cosmetics is there to give us a mini-makeover and samples.  This is too awesome!
