When you’re a blogger, your family gets used to doing things in unusual ways, places, and times. Everyone in my family is accustomed to being photographed at each “step” and “stage”, hehehe. Â So when I told them we were going to have Christmas dinner on 12/10, they weren’t surprised. Â In fact, when they tasted the delicious beef tenderloin from TenderFilet.com? Â They loved the idea!
The amazingly tender and delicious beef chateaubriand we received from TenderFilet.com came packed in a dry ice cooler, frozen and ready to transfer to our freezer until we were ready to use it. Â The directions said to thaw in the refrigerator, 2 days before cooking. Â Then bake at 425 degrees, from 22 to 33 minutes depending on how rare/well done you prefer your meat.
Defrosted tenderloin, ready to bake:
Place in glass baking dish with melted butter and soy sauce for flavoring.
Bake at 425 degrees.
Use a meat thermometer to test “doneness”. Ours came out a bit more well-done than we wanted, but it was still moist and very, very tender. Yum!
Steam fresh green beans, add sundried tomatoes for a Christmas color accent and then be prepared for compliments!

My FIL was a butcher (from farm to table type) so I’ve had some really great beef in the past – these look VERY nice!
