If you’re breathing, at this time of the year you are b-u-s-y. Â Sometimes you are BUSY, and sometimes you are even CRAZY BUSY! Â It’s the time of year to keep your pantry stocked with those essentials that can help you create a delicious dinner even when you are on the run all day. Â You can use everyday Kraft products to create a quick and easy meal during the holidays. Â We often see Christmas recipes or recipes for Thanksgiving leftovers, but what about those days in between? Â And keep reading for easy dessert recipes!
Here are some essentials that I keep on hand and replenish Walmart Kraft products when I shop. Â With them, I can turn an ordinary simple meal into something special and delicious without taking too much time.
- Shake ‘n Bake
- Frozen Chicken Breasts
- Kraft Shredded Cheese
- Bagged Salad
- Kraft Ranch Dressing
- Peppermint Ice Cream
- Cool Whip
- Jet Puffed Mini-Marshmallows Peppermint
- Welch’s Sparkling Grape Juice
- Maxwell House Coffee
- Bakers Coconut
I went shopping yesterday and ran home, with only 1/2 hour to make dinner. Â Luckily with all those things in my kitchen I was able to make Crispy Chicken Garden Salad with Peppermint-in-the-Snow Parfaits for dessert. Â Score! Â Here’s my recipe:
Crispy Chicken Garden Salad
- Pre-heat the oven to 400 degrees/
- Defrost chicken breasts in the microwave and cut into strips.
- Shake! Â Use your Shake ‘n Bake to coat the chicken and put onto a cookie sheet. Â Bake!
- Put bagged salad onto plates, sprinkle with Kraft shredded cheese.
- Set the table. Â I used wrapping paper as a tablecloth, isn’t it fun?
- Make a pot of Maxwell House coffee.
- Take the chicken out of the oven after baking for 20 minutes, let cool slightly. Â Add to salads, drizzle with Kraft ranch dressings.
- Pour Welch’s Sparkling Juice for the kids, Maxwell House coffee for the grownups then sit down and enjoy!
After dinner…
Peppermint-in-the-Snow Parfaits
This is too easy to even call a recipe, but here you go! Â I’m always looking for easy dessert recipes.
- Put alternating layers of Peppermint Ice Cream and Cool Whip into glasses to make a bright and colorful parfait!*
- Sprinkle Baker’s Coconut “snow” on top and Jet-Puffed Peppermint Mini-Marshmallows for extra fun.
- Enjoy with a steaming hot cup of Maxwell House coffee and relax!
Variation: Â We love Sugar Free Jello and Cool Whip Free parfaits for a low-calorie treat! Â If you have Jello made in the fridge, that’s a quick, easy and pretty dessert.
