Does this aisle at the store call out to you?

Then it’s time for Family Game Night!!

Our family loves to play board games.  My daughter is six years old and it is one of her favorite things to do.  Yesterday, we went to Walmart and stocked up on some food and fun and had our own “Family Game Night”!  Come with me and see how we did it!

The games aren’t the only thing that can be fun – I decided to make the food fun, too!  Tyson Chicken Nuggets and Ore-Ida Fries are always a favorite with the kids.  But in the spirit of “Dip, Dip, Hooray!”  I put a twist on it!  And made it tasty for the adults at the party, as well.

I created a “buffet” of sauces from Heinz.  In addition to the always-favorite Heinz Ketchup, I purchased some new sauces from Heinz as well.  Did you know Heinz makes Real Mayonnaise?

It was so fun to sample the different flavors!  Perfect for dipping the chicken nuggets and/or Ore-Ida french fries.  We made Golden Crinkles and Sweet Potato Fries.  Yummmmmy!

To make a meal for adults, I served tortilla wraps so we could make a delicious treat with the nuggets, sauce and some shredded lettuce/cabbage.  I think this is going to be a new favorite for our game nights!

 Bring on the games!

Rosie and I had headed to Walmart earlier and picked up two new games, Yahtzee and Scrabble Flash.  She couldn’t wait to try them!  First we opened the Scrabble Flash.  As a word puzzle-lover, I was especially excited about this one.  The squares are fun and easy to use.  It didn’t take us long at all to get the hang of it and it was fun to rearrange, find words, and pass around the squares.

Then we switched to Yahtzee.  It was Rosie’s first time with this game and she caught on fast – exhibiting various ways to shake, shake, shake those dice.

Tyson, Ore-Ida, Heinz, and Hasbro are not only the features of our family game night, they are running a fun sweepstakes called Dip, Dip, Hooray.  250 lucky winners will receive a Hasbro game, and the Grand Prize winner will receive a $350 Gift Card to the www.HasbroToyShop.com online store, a $125 Prepaid gift card and a library of 25 of Hasbro’s most popular board games! . ARV of all Grand Prize components: $1,010!

You can enter at DipToPlay.com every day and while you’re there, play the game of the week.  I just played Jenga – poorly, I might add, hehehe.  It’s easy to enter, you will be asked to register (basic info) and then upload the UPC codes from a bottle of Heinz Ketchup, Ore-Idea Frozen Potatoes and Tyson Chicken Nuggets.  Easy-peasey!  Please enter and good luck!  Official rules for the Dip, Dip Hooray sweepstakes are here.

That wrap looks really good. I lived in LA for many years and refused to eat “fish tacos” because they had cabbage on them and I just didn’t think it sounded right. But now that I’m older, I’m appreciating that more. (Pssst. Don’t tell my husband because he would never let me live it down!)

LOVE the dice-rolling collage! Love it, I tell you!
