Our family has a tradition of making a special breakfast on Halloween and Rosie has requested my delicious apple ring pancakes. Â They are easy and fun to make! Â I went shopping for the ingredients this afternoon at Walmart and then it sounded so good, we couldn’t wait for Halloween and made them for dinner tonight!

I went to Walmart and loved seeing all the seasonal displays. Â There were pumpkins by the front door…
and scarecrows! Â Perfect to put me in a fall shopping mood.
I go to Walmart because I know the prices are going to be the lowest in the area, I like their produce department, and I like their generic brand – Great Value. Since I’ve started a weight loss program, I’m trying to be better about drinking water. Â One of the best tips I’ve heard about how to lose weight is to drink a glass of water about 15 minutes before every meal and to take a sip of water between every bite of food. Â It really fills you up and you get all the health benefits of being well-hydrated. Â My problem is that I don’t like water. Â Just plain don’t like it. Â Thankfully, there is carbonated water which I like and carbonated flavored water which alleviates some of the boredom of drinking the same thing all the time.
Walmart sells a flavored water called Clear American and it comes in a wonderful variety of flavors and flavor combinations. The Clear American sparkling flavored water comes in single flavors like Cherry. And Key Lime
but what I love the best are the flavor combinations like Tangerine Lime and Pomegranate Blueberry Acai. Â Is your mouth watering yet? Â They are so yummy!
I bought some Clear American Fuji Apple Pear to use in our apple pancakes. Â I find the Clear American sparkling flavored water in the Bottle Water section.
On to the cooking!
Directions for Halloween Apple Ring Pancakes with Clear American Fuji Apple Pear Sparkling Water
I got some gorgeous Gala Apples. Â Slice the apples into rings, taking out the center. Â If you have something round to punch the core out, use that, but I didn’t and just used a knife. Â It doesn’t matter how it looks because it will be covered with batter.
To make the pancake mix, follow the instructions on the box, but substitute Clear American Fuji Apple Pear Sparkling Water for water. Â Add cinnamon and/or pumpkin pie spices to the batter. Â Wisk the mix until smooth. Â Dip the apple rings into the batter, covering both sides well and then drop into a hot frying pan. Â Flip and cook like regular pancakes.
Add some powdered sugar and garnish with apples. Â Serve with butter and syrup. Â Voila!
The Clear American Fuji Apple Pear Sparkling Water adds fluffiness and bubbles to the batter but more, it adds an intense and delicious apple taste. Â Yum!
Clear American adds sparkle and variety if you are trying to get in your daily quota of water. Â As a substitute for ordinary water in any recipe, you can add bubbles and flavor!

What an awesome recipe. My daughters LOVE pancakes but I’ve never considered making something like THIS!
On the weight loss issue… I agree. I’m not a fan of drinking plain water and have enjoyed drinking various flavors of Clear American. I have regular water with dinner and do like you by drinking between bites but during the rest of the day, I like having Clear American!
Thanks for sharing your recipe. I’ll have to give it a try!

Great recipe to keep on file. What do think of making it for a ‘breakfast for dinner’ night? After reading it I’m hungry again & I just ate breakfast 20 minutes ago. I’ll come back to copy it later in the morning after my hunger subsides.
Looks Yummy! Thanks for sharing.
