Soundfreaq Disclosure MC

We just got new flooring in our family room, dining room, and living room so I’ve been busy packing, unpacking, cleaning and organizing.  Everything had to get moved out of those rooms and because they house my “blogging office”, I had lots o’stuff.  What kept me going was listening to Christmas carols.  Music gives me energy and keeps my feet moving!

Next week is going to be dedicated to holiday decorating, baking cookies, and wrapping gifts.  Nothing puts me in the mood for holiday festivities like listening to holiday melodies.  We were playing the Disney Channel Holiday playlist tonight while my daughter and her bff were dancing.  Bella Thorne had us “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” even though my tree isn’t up yet!  My husband came home and said, “It feels like a party in here.”  All because of the music.

Remember a while back, I reviewed the Soundfreaq Sound Platform 2?  From their Facebook page:  Soundfreaq is a global co-op of craftsmen –- designers and engineers with deep expertise in consumer electronics and a passion for great sound. By working outside the limitations of a traditional corporate structure, we are able to develop products from the ground up that deliver premium sound for a wireless world.

Soundfreaq knows sound.   Soundfreaq has an award-winning line of wireless speakers having won awards such as “Gear of the Year” from WIRED Magazine in 2011, “Best in Show” from iLounge at CES 2012 and 2013, a Gizmodo Best Award in 2012 and “Mashable Choice” in 2013. They are dedicated to giving customers the best possible sound and listening experience with maximum value; they call it “happy listening.”

I love the Soundfreaq Sound Platform 2, so when Mom Central asked me to review a new speaker, the Sound Spot that is especially designed to “decorate with sound”, I was intrigued.  These “Sound Spots” are fun!  Here are my favorite things about them:

  • Clean, contemporary but classic – a designer look
  • Small footprint, they fit everywhere, really, everywhere
  • Portable and wireless with a built-in rechargeable Lithium-ion battery – up to seven hours of AC-free listening
  • Easy, easy to set-up, easy to use, easy to love – it streams via Bluetooth so it works with every wireless device, every app
  • Big sound from a little box
  • Great price point:  at $69.99 this is something to pick up for yourself or a gift.  Maybe even two!

Because I’m not an expert is describing sound, I’m going to quote Soundfreaq, “rich sound and power that is unexpected for its convenient size. With a custom-engineered, full-range driver and carefully tuned ported housing, Sound Spot offers Tone Control settings and is acoustically balanced to complement anyone’s musical taste.” Yeah, that.

Mom Central sent me the Sound Spot in it’s two original designs – the “all black” and the “wood & white”.  It now comes in 11 fun color combinations in addition to the all black and wood & white versions.  How cool!  I  can’t even decide between the two I have!  I took pictures around my house.  You vote, okay?  Leave a comment telling me what letters you like best.
