Yesterday was Grandparent’s Day at my daughter’s school *happy sigh*. I love watching my mom and my daughter interact. Two of the people I love most in the world and they love each other very much. Mother’s Day is coming up and I will be with my daughter, but we will be away from my mom on that special day. I’m working on a special way to tell my mother how much she means to us, without being physically with her. I know we’ll talk on the phone, but I need something else… any suggestions?
What was the best advice you ever received from your mom? My mom’s best advice for me was to be kind. Whenever she talks about my grandmother, her mom, she tells me how many friends she had because she was so kind to everyone. When I watch the end of the holiday movie, “It’s A Wonderful Life” when George’s friends come through with more than enough money to help him out of the problems at the Savings and Loan, I would think of my grandmother. “Remember no man is a failure who has friends.”
