“The main thing for any type of music is versatility. If you can bring in different elements, it’s tastefully done, it works musically and it works emotionally from your heart, it will sound believable to other people. If it touches them in a certain way, that’s the main thing.â€Â Celtic Woman violinist, Máiréad Nesbitt
Celtic Woman formed as a group in 2004 and ever since has captured the hearts of music fans across the globe. Â They create magical harmonies that have audiences dreaming of rich Irish countrysides. Â But their music reaches more than just fans of Irish music, with it’s peaceful yet upbeat tempos.
The voices of Celtic Woman are pure and clear.  They blend to create a river of notes and individually shine brightly.  Current members of the group are Chloë Agnew, Lisa Kelly, Lisa Lambe and Celtic violinist, Máiréad Nesbitt.  The violin adds so much sweetness to the harmonies – it is part of what makes Celtic Woman so unique.
“Although she’s (Lisa Kelly) developed a great appreciation for Irish music, Lisa retains her love of the theatre and the theatrical. ‘Barbra Streisand would be my biggest influence because she can cross over between pop and theatre very, very well. I was also a huge fan of Madonna,’ she admits with a laugh.”

The latest CD by Celtic Woman, Believe, was produced in studio and there is also a DVD, recorded at a live concert in Atlanta, Ga.  It includes classic Irish songs but also pop hits and inspirational songs.  The genres are connected seamlessly by the unique style of this incredible group. Celtic Woman has sold over seven million albums and DVDs worldwide.
‘The show has opened up a huge new door for me,’ she says. ‘I’ve gotten to do things I just never dreamed I could do; traveling the States and meeting so many people. What has been the best though is working with the other girls. They’re the most beautiful talented woman I’ve ever met and it’s been a great experience.’ Chloe Agnew, Celtic Woman soloist
My favorite song on the album, Believe, is Bridge Over Trouble Water. Â It’s always been on of my favorite song and the voices of the singers in Celtic Woman add such a richness and depth to the music. Â It is absolutely beautiful!
