My Dad is an amazing teacher. He is also the hardest working teacher I have ever seen and I taught high school for 10 years. I think a teacher is a good teacher when they work hard and care about the students.

My 3rd grade teacher was my favorite. I think what made her a good teacher was the fact that she had a unique approach to the ordinary events in the classroom. I think she was also good because she listened and spoke in a way that you thought she really understood.

I think a good teacher is one who can bring the subject they are teaching alive to to student. They should be able to reach the students, and help them learn as much as possible.

I taught pre-k for 20+ years and I had patience and understanding that not every child learns the same way or at the same speed. We did a lot of teaching through games, songs, and arts and crafts, etc.

I had a great teacher in high school who was a computer/math teacher and he really wanted his students to learn math since he felt so passionately about it.

My favorite teacher was my 1st grade teacher Ms. Edwards (I was surprised to see her when I graduated high school – she had come to watch us graduate). I found out we were her very 1st class and she had kept up with us all those years.

I think that excellent teachers are people who care about the whole child … not just about how that child performs in the specific class they teach. For example, teachers who seem to take an interest in what a child does outside of class often make real impacts on kids. :)

Great teachers are passionate about learning, understanding, patient. They don’t sweat the small things (loud classroom, things out of place slightly) and concentrate on student achievement.

i think a great teacher is one that doesn’t play games. Like the ones that teach you all this stuff tell you what to study then you go to school take the test and it had nothing to do with what the teacher told you to study.

Hi!
I think some qualities that make a great teacher is to realize we all learn in different ways and by knowing that the teacher will incorporate different learning styles into their methods.
Also a teacher that is open to new ideas and thinking outside the box and not stuck in some mold makes them a great teacher.
Fun! A teacher that enjoys life and ahs fun with teaching a concept. Learning is siupposed to be fun, not drudgery! :)
