Rosie is a huge Olivia fan. “Rule of life number 27: We love Olivia!” Rosie quotes so many Olivia-isms, like, “Oh, him? He’s not my little brother but rather my little bother!” Who knew a little pig could be so cute?!  And smart?! And funny?! And brave?! I never thought a little pig in red shoes would be a role model for my daughter. But I love that Olivia reads as many books as possible, eats ice cream in bed, and has career choices ranging from veterinarian to astronaut.
If your toy chest or play room looks anything like ours, you will appreciate how smart the designer of this toy was. When I opened it, I thought, how cute! I love doll houses/playsets and this one is very cute. I first noticed the handle (thank you!) that made it easy to pick up. Then I noticed the latch that you used to open it. I like when there is a latch, so that when it falls over, it doesn’t fall open. BUT, there was more than one reason for the latch. I opened the accessories (and there are alot of them *yippee*) to find pirate gear. Rosie is loving pirates lately so I was excited. It struck me as odd, though, that there would be pirate things with a doll house. Then I started reading the box….
If you turn the house around, there is another latch on the back of the house. If you open that one…. it’s a pirate ship!! Too cool. Seriously. Too smart. Seriously. Two toys, taking up the space in our toy box of only one. Listen to me sing, LOVE it!
The plush Olivia is part of a collectible series. It’s 8″ tall and Olivia is wearing her trademark outfit. Also available are Olivia, the Artist; the Opera Singer; and Cow.
The 2-in-1 Transforming Playset and the Olivia Plush are available at Toys “R” Us, Target and Kmart.
