The pictures in Taste of Home Cooking School Cookbook were the thing that immediately grabbed my attention. There are 629 photos in this cookbook! From the basic instructions in the beginning on how to measure ingredients and the different kinds of knives to the five sequence pictures on how to make muffins, photographs lead you through creating delicious and beautiful meals.
To review the cookbook, I went to a recipe that I know well and have made a bazillion times – salsa. I was pleased to see they had a “Cheat It!” recipe and a from-scratch recipe for two different flavored salsas. The “Cheat It!” are described as “low-effort recipes with big rewards”. The fresh salsa recipe was very close to what I already make but with an added twist that I can’t wait to try!
