Kohl Children’s Museum will be opening “Run! Jump! Fly! Adventures in Action,†on September 29 to encourage kids and families to engage in FUN physical activity both in the exhibit and at home afterwards.
Jump into a variety of creative adventure scenes and an “action star training center.†Each activity station provides an imaginative setting where you can try out surfing, kung fu, dancing, or climbing. High appeal challenges test your balance, strength, coordination and endurance.
As visitors move through the exhibit and have fun with physical activity, they will get ideas for how they can become more active daily.
- Balance on a snowboard during a video sequence that takes you gliding through pine trees and past lakes as you snowboard down a mountain.
- Practice kung fu animal stances inspired by the rooster, the snake and the tiger.
- Light up stars in the sky by pedaling our Flycycle.
- Grip handholds and footholds as you make your way across a climbing canyon.
- Learn yoga positions based on cat stretches and majestic trees.
- Exercise your upper-body and lower-body strength by doing leg presses, chin-ups and rowing patterns.
- Get your blood pumping in the dance club by following dance moves on a screen.
- Stamp the activities you complete on Action Tracker logs, and accept tracker missions to be physically active at home.
Two lucky KLY readers will win a family ticket pack (four tickets each).

I have been a few times
We’ve never been to Kohl’s Museum. It looks fun.
Have never been! Would love the chance. My daughter would have a blast. Not to far from home. Would probably make a weekend out of it for her.
We have not visited Kohl Museum, but we will definitely check it out during our next visit to Chicago. My boys and nephew would love it.
