Like many Americans, I’m trying to be conscious of the products I use and make healthy choices for myself and my family. When I was approached by Puritan’s Pride to try some of their best sellers I was excited because of the reputation of the company. Puritan’s Pride was founded over 40 years ago.

I was surprised by the amazing variety of products that are sold by Puritan Pride. From nutritional supplements to pet products, the range is incredible. With cold weather approaching, I was most excited to try the moisturizing products that they sent me. My favorite was the Vitamin E Cream. From the moment I opened the jar and saw the creamy, white moisturizer, I knew I was going to love it. The first place I put it was my elbows. The sun has taken a toll on my skin especially elbows, knees and feet. My hands are also feeling dry and thirsty. The Puritan’s Pride Vitamin E Cream is light but rich. It was instantly absorbed into my skin and I could almost swear I heard a sigh of ah…….
This is the time of year when you want to look at your skin care/body care products and up the level of moisture. It’s very important to seasonal adjust your products and winter is when you need intense moisture. For me, Vitamin E has always been a favorite for my skin. The first time I used it, I had a severe sunburn and was trying to speed healing. Ever since then, I turn to products with Vitamin E when I want to improve softness and elasticity. I also love Aloe Vera and Puritan Pride sent me two products with this natural moisturizer and healing agent. One thing I liked about all the Puritan Pride lotions and creams was the soft, natural scent. It was not over-powering or heavy but rather a light and fresh scent.
One of the top super foods that I’ve been reading about lately is Acai. Berries in general have been making news as a “super food” but the Acai Berry stands out as a powerful antioxidant. It grows in the rainforest and has been eaten by South Americans forever. There have been studies of long-lived people that point to a diet including Acai berries. Similarly green tea is known to be a powerful antioxidant, reducing the negating effects of aging. Pilgrim’s Pride sent me a bottle of their Acai Splash Energizing Mixed Berry Drink. Fights aging and gives energy? Love it! The drink contains, in addition to Acai and Green Tea, other berry extracts: Lycium (Goji) Berry, Blueberry, Elderberry, Pomegranate, Cherry, and Blackberry. But we all know that if something doesn’t taste good, it doesn’t matter how healthy it is, we are likely not to consume it. The Puritan’s Pride Acai Splash Energizing Mixed Berry Drink is delicious! I love the flavor! You can drink two tablespoons “full strength” – yum! Or mix it with 6 ounces of water. I am not a big fan of plain water so I love it to lightly flavor my water – it’s perfect!
You can’t talk about healthy living and not include sunscreen. These two from Puritan’s Pride are great choices for mommy and child.
