It’s not often that you notice the mission of a company. Â But the mission of Revolution Foods, truly spoke to me. Â “To build lifelong healthy eaters by making kid-inspired, chef-crafted food accessible to all. Â It’s one of the top priorities I have for raising my daughter – to create a lifelong healthy eater. Â It’s so important not only for their health but also their happiness. Â I know in my heart that my daughter’s life will be longer, happier, and healthier if she learns good habits now.
Revolution Foods was founded by two moms to transform the way America eats by providing access to healthy, affordable meals to schools. They believe that proper nutrition is a cornerstone of providing our youth the nourishment they need to lead successful, healthy lives.  And for children like my daughter, who bring their lunch to school, I was excited to find out that Revolution Foods is available in stores.
- Revolution Foods serve over one million freshly prepared meals every week to K-12 schools nationwide and
- retail products are available across the country.
I’m learning more about “whole” and “natural” myself. At Revolution, they say “Real Food for Allâ„¢” because they believe everyone should have access to real foods. But what do they mean by “real food”?  Foods that are whole. Foods made with carefully-considered ingredients that promote healthy growth and development. Revolution meals are made from natural ingredients. Nothing fake. Nothing artificial.  No artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives.  Our children deserve nothing less!
I can think of so many occasions when these will help me out! Â First, of course, lunch. Â But then after-school, when my daughter is starving and wants something NOW. Â She won’t have to wait for me to cook. And summer camp! Â Rosie is going to “Horse/Pony Camp” this summer and has to take a lunch.
It’s not just what’s “in” your meal, it’s also what’s NOT in your food.
The “grab & go meal kits” contain:
- humanely raised meat without antibiotics, nitrates or nitrites
- cheese made from milk not treated with rBST growth hormone
- at least 7 grams of whole grains per kit
- 1 serving of fruit in each kit.
The Revolution Meal Kits come in four varieties:
- Ham and Cheddar Meal Kit
- Turkey and Cheddar Meal Kit
- Cheese Pizza
- Peanut Butter and Jelly
I just asked my daughter what her favorite was and she said, “Peanut Butter and Jelly”!

I’ve been on a family wide health streak for the last 2 months. My husband and kids actually enjoy eating fresh and colorful food. I usually make my kids “home made” lunchables, but maybe I’ll give the Revolution packs a try. Thanks for sharing.
Many of the recipes I’m using are coming from this great book I bought, it’s really making our food so much more interesting. http://1yip.com/HealthyFamilyMeals
