Do you live in the Chicago area?  If you do, you are probably familar with one of my favorite outdoor shopping destinations, Oakbrook Center.  From the first time that my Mom took me there during the holidays, it’s always been a special place to visit for shopping and more.

This year Oakbrook Center has new restaurants and an upgraded Adventure to Santa attraction.  The opportunities for shopping and holiday experiences are endless thanks to a debut Winter Market and a multitude of new stores.

“The holidays are a special time here at Oakbrook Center, as we create an unparalleled shopping experience for both local and out-of-town guests, ” said Caryn Torres, senior general manager of Oakbrook Center.

When you are ready for a break from shopping, there is a repertoire of restaurants waiting.  The District at Oakbrook provides several chef-driven, convenient and affordable fast-casual food options.

OBC - ATS - LogoAdventure to Santa is a partnership of Oakbrook Center and DreamWorks Animation.  It’s a narrated tour featuring the cast of the popular Kung Fu Panda.  Reservations can be made online at with the purchase of a photo package.  It’s open for extended holiday hours through Christmas Eve!

Are you looking for a special gift for the sweets addict on your list?  Sugarfina has artisanal candies, packaged in fun, modern giftsets to make a truly sweet gift.  If all your shopping is done, take in a film at the state-of-the-art AMC Theatre.
