Nutrisystem "Chicken Tenders" (tomato added)

Doesn’t this look delicious?  It tastes delicious, too!  I have been so impressed with the Nutrisystem frozen food.  The pantry (non-frozen) selections are tasty but in my opinion, they are completely surpassed by the frozen food.  It has a quality of freshness that makes the vegetables crunchy and tasting fresh-picked.  The entrees and sandwich melts are so good, I would honestly eat these whether I were trying to lose weight or not.  In our area, the food comes from Schwan’s (not sure if that’s true everywhere).  Schwan’s has an excellent reputation for delicious food.

This past week, Nutrisystem announced their first-ever Celebrity Chef Culinary Council.  The Council will be guiding new food and menu selections as well as providing their expertise on the latest ingredient and culinary trends.  It’s just another step in Nutrisystem’s goal to provide the best tasting food AND at the lowest price.

I give it two enthusiastic thumbs-up!

Here are the Chefs that are on the first-ever Nutrisystem Celebrity Chef Culinary Council:

Tony Mantuano, chef/partner of the only four-star Italian restaurant in Chicago, Spiaggia; a James Beard Winner for Best Chef of the Midwest and a contender on Top Chef Masters Season 2

Michael Solomonov, owner of Philadelphia’s award-winning restaurant Zahav, 2011 James Beard Award finalist and recent contender on Iron Chef America

Kent Rathbun, owner of Texas restaurants including: Abacus, Jasper’s, Shinsei, Rathbun’s Blue Plate Kitchen and Zea Woodfire Grill; a former winner on Iron Chef America

Mark Estee, known for his awarded restaurants in Nevada and California and former personal chef to Britney Spears and Paul McCartney

Carmen Gonzalez, known in the culinary world for over 20 years as a talented and awarded chef, as well as for her creative Puerto Rican/American fusion cuisine; most recently known as a contender from Top Chef Masters Season 2

I’m in like with the pantries myself but LOVE the frozens! The tenders are on my top 5 list!

My plates never look that pretty- stellar photograph! But I agree, the frozen foods are the best and I would opt to eat them even if I wasn’t trying to lose weight, too.

    Hugs to you,
    Barb

My favorite frozen dinner is the Asian Beef Stirfry. I could eat it every day!
