I can’t wait to see the movie, The Lone Ranger, starring Johnny Depp and Armie Hammer as the duo of outlaws for justice.  When I first saw the amazing makeup for Johnny Depp’s character, Tonto, I was drawn in.  Each subsequent bit of information has only increased my interest.

While filming a scene for The Lone Ranger, Johnny Depp fell off of his horse and was nearly trampled!  You have to watch the video – it’s incredible!

Did you say, “Wow”?  I don’t think anyone would watch that and not!

Pirates of the Caribbean was one of my all-time favorite movies and the producer and director behind that movie have teamed up again for The Lone Ranger.  Producer Jerry Bruckheimer and director Gore Verbinski, are creating “a thrilling adventure infused with action and humor, in which the famed masked hero is brought to life through new eyes.  Native American warrior Tonto (Johnny Depp) recounts the untold tales that transformed John Reid (Armie Hammer), a man of the law, into a legend of justice—taking the audience on a runaway train of epic surprises and humorous friction as the two unlikely heroes must learn to work together and fight against greed and corruption.”

Armie Hammer will never compare to the original Lone Ranger, Clayton Moore. The original Lone Ranger didn’t have blond or brown hair like the new one does. It’s not always wise to mess with a classic, but then the youngsters probably didn’t see the original series. I do think Johnny Depp is a great actor, and I am glad he wasn’t seriously hurt.

So true…. I’m going to approach it as a totally different story from the original. I did that with Alice and Wonderland too!
