I received an email this morning about a new social networking site (I know, I know, like I need another reason to sit at the computer!). This one grabbed my attention because it’s a Christian site.
The founder said that the vision for myblab.com (blab stand for Be Linked As Believers) is “to form a community of believers across the globe, encouraging one another in their journeys of faith,” says Burkhart. “I can’t think of a better way to use the internet than that.” That appealed to me, as did the zero tolorance policy for offensive material.
I was still a bit on the fence although my interest was definitely piqued. Then I read about the contest (you know me!). That hooked me in, hehehe. myblab.com is having a six week contest and the prizes are on my wish list! A Sony Bravia TV, a Dell laptop, an iPod Touch!I saw another story on the news about cyber-bullying. Although no site is 100% safe for your children, maybe this is a safer alternative to MySpace and Facebook. Rosie is only four, so I don’t know much about kids and internet safety yet.
Check it out and let me know what you think, okay?
