I had so much fun designing the nursery for Rosie. Â One of the few benefits of an extended adoption process is that you have time to dream, shop, play with different designs, tweak, and start all over again! Â How many times can I saw “awwwww….”? Â A ton, trust me! Â I knew we were adopting a baby girl and pink is one of my favorite colors, so I knew there was going to be lots and lots of pink. Â Sean’s mother was very ill and we knew she wouldn’t be with us for long and she helped me pick my paint colors. Â I showed her a pink and a yellow and told her I couldn’t decide – she said, “Why not both? Â The yellow is so light, it would be a perfect ceiling color.” Â Done. Â And six years later, I still love it.
My mom and dad wanted to give us Rosie’s crib as a gift. Â Mom and I went shopping for weeks, we had such a blast dreaming about the day a little baby girl would be sleeping in this special crib. Â I had some definite ideas about what I wanted, but couldn’t find just the right thing. Â then the rest of the furniture, shelves, window treatments and bedding. Â I wish I had known about Carousel Designs!
