BlogHer and other events made for an AMAZING week in Chicago. Yes, there was drama – especially with the official versus unofficial BlogHer events. Honestly, I am confused as to the what, where, and why. I didn’t use the hashtag for fear of offending someone or breaking some rule. *sigh* I don’t quite get it and I’m probably doing something horrid, but writing this post, but whatever. I went to events in Chicago last week that are too awesome not to blog about! BlogHer is all about connecting with friends and brands, here is a recap in pictures…
from left to right:Â Valerie, Seasonally Affected Mom; Maria, A Savings Wow; Nicole, SAHMReviews; Pilar, One Mom Media and Melanie, My Joy My World
Kris, Little Tech Girl; Lisa, My Thoughts, Ideas and Ramblings; Barb, Rural Mom.com; and Debra, A Frugal Friend
It was so fun to meet the Mom Central group that I email more often than my own mom :) From left to right, it’s Maryellen Cronin, Kasey Hallion, Matt Schuierer, Jessica Hogan, Megan Maguire, Sarah Ann Harris, Stacy DeBroff.

Spring, Kyocera, and Mom Central hosted an event on the Odyssey II, sailing out onto Lake Michigan. More posts to come on the new Kyocera Hydro Edge phone!

I really WAS (and AM) a Highlights Kid! At their event, I found out their staff is as fun as their magazines!

Love, love, love this bag from Vera Bradley!! It’s perfect for holding my phone and wallet items. I used through all of BlogHer and ever since.

I had learned about the new game Disney Infinity at Social Media Moms, but now I got to play it! What an amazing system!! The Toy Box allows you to mix Disney characters in the same game – Jack Sparrow driving a tricked-out Cinderella coach, or playing in the Tangled lantern sky. See the UP house floating by? Amazing!!

I’m always on the lookout for healthy snacks. And I need portion-controlled packaging #NoWillpower These “happy squeeze” are perfect. I came home with samples and I’ll be looking for them at the grocery store.

Green smoothies are in my future and perhaps a Blendtec to make them – the presentation was very convincing!
There will be more detailed posts and giveaways coming up! Stay tuned!
