My Take
Have you ever read a book and wanted to go slowly so you could savor the story? That’s what I’m doing with Declan’s Cross. Â I’m about halfway through and knew yesterday that I should hurry so I could review it, but just enjoy reading it so much I wanted to linger! Â So I can’t comment on the ending of the book, but so far I am loving it. Â The main characters are FBI agents – smart and strong. Â But they are also very human. Â The setting of Ireland provides a beautiful backdrop. Â I also like the twist of a marine biology element, I haven’t read that in a novel, as far as I can remember. Â Romantic thrillers are one of my favorite genres and Carla Neggers is a proven master.

“Carla Neggers has emerged as the queen of the romantic suspense novel…Heron’s Cove is a novel that is written with a gripping and suspenseful style that will surely have the most astute armchair sleuths and amateur detectives scratching their heads and guessing right up until the very end.
