I have been eating out so often that it’s been difficult to stay on the program.  I haven’t been making good choices from restaurants *sigh* but I’m hanging in there as best I can!  I keep thinking that “when things settle down” it will be better.  I need to stop planning and start doing!  Here’s my Week Two Weigh In – holding steady.

5 Tips to Survive Halloween Without Adding Pounds

1.  Give out non-candy treats on Halloween night.  There are many alternatives to candy – stickers, pencils, spider rings, glow sticks, coupons from Wendy’s, Burger King or McDonalds, raisins.

2.  If you are going to give candy, choose a candy that you don’t like.  You’ll be less likely to be tempted to eat the treats!

3.  Don’t skip meals or snacks on the big day.  Make sure you eat dinner before you start handing out the treats.  Willpower is easier if you have a full stomach.

4.  Keep a bowl of veggies munchies handy.  Baby carrots, celery, or sliced peppers will satisfy the crunch cravings.

5.  Save your Nutrisystem dessert for trick-or-treat time.

I hope we all have a good week!
