It’s fall and back-to-school.  For our house, that means that we have strict bedtimes.  In the summer, we would adjust the time and stay up late quite often.  But now that week day nights are “School Nights”, we need to be more sensitive to the clock!

I’ve been working with Rosie to create good habits of oral health.  We go to the dentist but it’s the day-to-day habits that make a big difference.  I work with her on a 1-2-3 system.  While these products are for me (only for children 12 and older), I am setting a good example and teaching her the system of 1-2-3.

Step One:  Brush

Twice a day, at a minimum, we brush our teeth.  And a good toothbrush is important.  (By the way, did you know you should replace your toothbrush every 3 months?)  My dentist gives out Oral B and that is a brand I trust.  I recently tried the Oral B Pro-Health Clinical Pro-Flex.  It’s part of a system created by Oral B and Crest.  Four products made to work together to improve the health and appearance of your mouth.

What do you look for in a toothpaste?  Crest Pro-Health has been formulated to prevent cavities, gingivitis, plaque, sensitivity, and tartar.  It whitens your teeth and freshens your breath!  That’s a check mark in all the boxes on my toothpaste wish list.  One more tip?  Brush for two minutes!

Step Two:  Floss

Flossing your teeth not only helps prevent cavities, it also helps with fresh breath.  Flossing becomes second nature after just a bit of practice.  Besides practice, it helps to have a floss that slides easily between teeth.  Oral B Pro-Health Glide Floss does just that.  It’s easier to use, which means you will be more likely to do it!

Step Three: Rinse

I’m surprised that even after brushing and flossing, rinsing will still dislodge small food particles.  The foaming action gets into place that brushing and even flossing might miss.  It also does a nice job of cleaning the sides of your mouth and your tongue.   Crest Pro-Health Clinical has two features that make it different from other mouthwashes I’ve used.  First, Crest Pro-Health Clinical Rinse is alcohol free.  It doesn’t have that “burning” feeling that rinses with alcohol may cause.  But it still kills 99% of germs to improve breath.  Second, it has a foaming action that I could feel working long after I had finished rinsing.  I really like the clean feeling it gave my mouth.

It makes sense to use oral care products

that are designed to work together.

I was impressed by the results of all these products

and will definitely continue to use them.
