It’s fall and back-to-school. Â For our house, that means that we have strict bedtimes. Â In the summer, we would adjust the time and stay up late quite often. Â But now that week day nights are “School Nights”, we need to be more sensitive to the clock!
I’ve been working with Rosie to create good habits of oral health. Â We go to the dentist but it’s the day-to-day habits that make a big difference. Â I work with her on a 1-2-3 system. Â While these products are for me (only for children 12 and older), I am setting a good example and teaching her the system of 1-2-3.
Step One: Â Brush
Twice a day, at a minimum, we brush our teeth. Â And a good toothbrush is important. Â (By the way, did you know you should replace your toothbrush every 3 months?) Â My dentist gives out Oral B and that is a brand I trust. Â I recently tried the Oral B Pro-Health Clinical Pro-Flex. Â It’s part of a system created by Oral B and Crest. Â Four products made to work together to improve the health and appearance of your mouth.
What do you look for in a toothpaste? Â Crest Pro-Health has been formulated to prevent cavities, gingivitis, plaque, sensitivity, and tartar. Â It whitens your teeth and freshens your breath! Â That’s a check mark in all the boxes on my toothpaste wish list. Â One more tip? Â Brush for two minutes!
Step Two: Â Floss
Flossing your teeth not only helps prevent cavities, it also helps with fresh breath. Â Flossing becomes second nature after just a bit of practice. Â Besides practice, it helps to have a floss that slides easily between teeth. Â Oral B Pro-Health Glide Floss does just that. Â It’s easier to use, which means you will be more likely to do it!
Step Three: Rinse
I’m surprised that even after brushing and flossing, rinsing will still dislodge small food particles. Â The foaming action gets into place that brushing and even flossing might miss. Â It also does a nice job of cleaning the sides of your mouth and your tongue. Â Crest Pro-Health Clinical has two features that make it different from other mouthwashes I’ve used. Â First, Crest Pro-Health Clinical Rinse is alcohol free. Â It doesn’t have that “burning” feeling that rinses with alcohol may cause. Â But it still kills 99% of germs to improve breath. Â Second, it has a foaming action that I could feel working long after I had finished rinsing. Â I really like the clean feeling it gave my mouth.
It makes sense to use oral care products
that are designed to work together.
I was impressed by the results of all these products
and will definitely continue to use them.
