What does “menopause” mean to me?     It’s the “Fall Season” of life!

What is menopause?

When does it happen?

What are the symptoms?

What can you do about it?

We all have questions, but where do you go for answers?!  I asked my mom, but she wasn’t really sure.  She couldn’t exactly remember when she hit menopause and what it was like in the early stages.  I’ve asked friends and they are in the same place as I am – more questions than answers.

Well, I recently learned about a website with information you can trust!  The people at Poise, a company who makes pads and panty liners, is tackling women’s wellness.  At Poise.com, they are giving women, “Expert advice, helpful products and stories from women going through the same changes you are.”  Yay!

Poise is changing the way women look at menopause.  No more, going it alone.  At Poise.com, we can share experiences and ask experts about what we are experiencing and going through.

One of my biggest questions is “What are the symptoms of menopause?”

  • hot flashes
  • night sweats
  • vaginal dryness
  • irritability
  • changes in vaginal discharge and odor
  • bladder irritability
  • bladder leakage
  • changes in metabolism
  • changes in sleep patterns
  • memory loss
  • up to 50 different symptoms!

That’s no picnic!  Yikes!  What can we do about it?

Poise has developed five products that they term the “Poise Fab Five” to help with those nasty symptoms.

1.  Probably the thing that we most hear about as a menopause symptom is hot flashes.  Poise is introducing Roll-On Cooling Gel.  It comes in a discreet, small sized tube and is easy to use.  You pull off the cap, turn the top to the “on” position, squeeze the tube and gently roll the gel onto wrists, chest or neck.  It has a very pleasant, fresh, soft scent and creates a cooling sensation that lasts ten minutes.

2.  Also for hot flashes, Poise has created Body Cooling Towelettes.  “The feeling of your cold washcloth, wherever you go.”  Packaged similar to the wipes we all carry for our kids, they offer an instant cooling and refreshment when you wipe your neck, face, or chest.  (And feel pretty good just tucked into your bra.)

3.  Poise Feminine Wash features a unique ph-balanced formula.  Irritating ingredients have no business here.  Created for daily freshness, Poise* Feminine Wash is hypoallergenic, made without Glycerin and Parabens, and gynecologist tested to help you feel clean and confident.

4.  Vaginal dryness is another symptom associated with menopause.  Poise includes a Personal Lubricant in its Fab Five.  If you want to read more about that one, I’m going to refer you to the Poise website!

5.  Poise Panty Fresheners are discreet, feminine fresheners, equipped with a clean and fresh scent that lasts up to 4 hours. Simply remove the backing and stick the freshener to the outside of your undergarment and confidently go about your day.

Shopping for women’s wellness products can be overwhelming!

My Walmart had 4 of the Poise Fab 5 products to help with the symptoms of menopause.

So let’s bring menopause out of the shadows and talk to each other!  As part of Menopause Awareness and World Menopause Day (Oct. 18th), let’s research the information at Poise.com and talk to another woman (friend, mother, sister) about this stage of life we all go through.

Let’s approach menopause with confidence because we have support and knowledge!

All You magazine has information about menopause and a $1.00 off coupon!  You can also find coupons at the Poise brand page on Walmart.com.
