Limited only by your imagination, the new Disney Infinity launching this summer will take you to new experiences in video gaming.  I learned about Disney Infinity when I attend Disney Social Media Moms Conference and was blown away by the creativity and flexibility of this game.  Although I paid to attend Disney Social Media Moms Conference, the experience was also funded by Disney.

Disney Infinity stars the characters from Monsters University, the Incredibles, Cars, Pirates of the Caribbean and more.  Similar to Skylanders games, you place a toy version of your favorite character onto an “Infinity Base” to play as that character in an amazing video world.  There are “Play Sets” for Pirates of the Caribbean, Monsters University and the Incredibles schedule for release August 18th.  But beyond Skylanders, Disney Infinity allows you to combine characters and worlds with no boundaries.  Jack Sparrow can ride a Tron vehicle to fight in a world that you have created.  Yup, that’s right, you can create the “universe” that the toys play in.  This ground-breaking innovation from Disney Infinity is called “Toy Box”.  In the Toy Box, you can create and combine virtual worlds.

Here’s a peek at the Infinity Base.

My favorite would be the Jack Sparrow!

Disclosure of Material Connection:  I paid a fee to attend the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration.  The retail value of the lodging, park tickets, gifts and access to special events not made available to the public exceed the amount of the conference fee.  Disney has not required me to blog about the event, but I love sharing Disney experiences and information with my readers.  If you want to read more about Disney, please click on the Disney category tab in my blog header.
