“Honey, did you take the car for an oil change?”

“I thought YOU were going to do that.”

Have you had this conversation at your house?  No one wants to take the car for an oil change.  Even at a quick-change place, it’s still a big chunk of time out of your day.  Sitting in the waiting room.  Sometimes, not too pleasant waiting room.

Have you ever wished that while you were inside buying groceries, someone would be outside changing the oil in your car?  Imagine coming out and finding that the oil had been changed, the carpet vacuumed, the tires filled with the proper pressure.  *Sigh* Sounds like a dream, doesn’t it?

Well, guess what?  Today is your lucky day because you can get your oil changed while you are buying groceries, household items, party supplies, or getting your prescription filled at Walmart!  Did you know that Walmart stores with Automotive Care Centers do oil changes?  I know, right.  Multi-tasking at it’s best.  If you’re a parent, multi-tasking is your middle name.  It’s necessary for survival!

Last week, I parked my car at Walmart, went in and signed up for an oil change and then did my shopping.  I finished shopping and came out to a car that no longer had the “tire pressure warning light” on and a new sticker in the corner of the windshield telling me that my next oil change isn’t due for 3,000 more miles.  *GrinFromEarToEar*  It doesn’t get any easier than that.  Boom!  And, because it’s Walmart, you know I paid a competitive price for that oil change.

“But what kind of oil do they use?” you say, suspiciously.  “Pennzoil”, I say smugly.

  • All Pennzoil products help clean out sludge lesser oils leave behind.
  • Pennzoil is designed for complete protection and will allow you to drive an extra of 550 miles per year vs. a dirty engine.
  • No other motor oil provides better protection from friction
  • It’s available in three types:
    • Conventional Motor Oil
    • High Mileage Vehicle
    • Platinum (synthetic motor oil) – Best cleanliness and protection in the Pennzoil line-up. With PurePlusâ„¢ Technology, the Platinum® motor oil is proven to keep pistons up to 40% cleaner than the toughest industry standard. PurePlusâ„¢ Technology is a revolutionary process that converts natural gas into a 99.5% pure base oil.

My minivan uses Pennzoil Conventional Motor Oil, a traditional oil base, fortified with Active Cleaning Agentsâ„¢ to continuously prevent dirt and contaminants from creating performance-robbing deposits.  It makes her happy.  And when my minivan is happy, I’m happy!

Next time you go shopping at Walmart, ask them to change your oil while you shop.

After all, it’s your lucky day!
