Disclosure:  I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting (#MC) for OxiClean. I received three product samples to facilitate my review and a promotional item as a thank you for participating.

Spring is coming.  It really is!  We had a bit of 40 degree weather here in Chicago and it felt like spring after our crazy below-zero temperatures.  I got into the spring cleaning mode!  It felt good to have some energy and want to make the house sparkle.  Clutter is a constant battle in our home.  While just picking up makes a big difference, I’m ready to roll my sleeves up and do some real cleaning.  That includes wanting to make my table look it’s brightest.  I have Fiesta dishes and when they shine, it makes everything look brighter.

Here’s a little known industry secret – in 2010 dishwashing detergents received a mandate to rework their formulas and remove phosphates – the industry’s chosen grime fighter, leaving consumers wondering why their dishes came out not as clean and spotless as they used to be. Some people may have even considered replacing their dishwasher to try and resolve the problem…but it’s not the dishwashers fault!  I noticed, did you?

OxiClean Dishwasher Detergent Text

OxiClean to the rescue.  The name we have all trusted for powerful cleaning is making a new dishwasher detergent.  You can have sparkling dishes (and dishwasher!) with new OxiClean Concentrated Extreme Power Crystals.  No more cloudy film, food particles, spots or streaks!  It even cleans your dishwasher!  Oops, forgot to mention that because it’s concentrated, you only fill the compartment up halfway.

I’m so fussy about my dishes being spotless that I run our dishwasher on the strongest, hottest setting every time.  But with OxiClean Concentrated Extreme Power Crystals Dishwasher Detergent, I’ve been brave enough to try it on just the “normal” settings.  It gets everything clean and sparkling.  Crystals are available in Fresh Clean and Lemon Clean scents and in a convenient bottle or time-saving paks for a quick, mess-free clean.

OxiClean Triple Play

OxiClean has been trusted and proven for years to get stains out.  Did you know that they also make a laundry detergent?  OxiClean laundry detergent can be used in HE and non-HE machines.  It penetrates fabrics and can lift away even complex stains, like grass, oil, grease and red wine.  I tried the liquid, but it also comes in detergent paks.

OxiClean Wow White Technology White Revive Text

But what about whites?  OxiClean also has a new “Wow White Technology” that is made to especially revive your dull and greyed white laundry.  We wear a lot of white socks and underwear in our house and after so many washings they have a tendency to get dull.  No one was saying “Wow White!” until I tried OxiClean.  I’ve never used bleach, I was always afraid of getting holes or “burns”.  With OxiClean there are no chlorine worries – it’s is even safe on colors.  It’s also formulated to use in all types of washing machines, including HE.  I can’t get photos to show the difference well enough, so I’m going to borrow some from OxiClean, but our whites were considerably brighter.

I have well water here at my home & for 10 years I’ve struggled with the crazy water & the water softener. We have to use softener salt & some with rust remover is preferred since we have rusty water. Although, sometimes the rust remover in the salt is problematic. It does strange things to our laundry especially when liquid fabric softener is used. I was so very happy when Purex came out with the oil free crystal fabric softener because I never saw weird stuff on our clothes again! Now I’m wondering about this product because I don’t use bleach unless absolutely necessary. I try hard not to use harsh chemicals since we also have a septic tank. I would love to try the Oxi Clean in our wash loads. I’m excited to see the results since I know there’s some dinginess on our clothes.

I had well water in my first house – it’s a challenge! The White Revive is also safe on colors, it might work to get rid of that dinginess. If you have any questions about septic, etc., you might want to try asking on the OxiClean facebook page. I’ve noticed that is often an easy and fast way to get answers from brands.

I have used OxiClean in my laundry for years – because it really does work. I haven’t tried it for the dishwasher. I need to try it, see how I like it.
