Two-and-a-Half Men is going to air their season premiere Sept. 19th – without Charlie Sheen, well, alive anyway.  Details have leaked out about the first show – despite everyone involved having signed non-disclosure agreements.  According to TMZ and Yahoo, Charlie Harper (Sheen’s character) marries Rose and after she catches him cheating (seriously, she wouldn’t expect that?), he has a violent accident with a metro subway train while they are in Paris.  Do you think the writers and producers have any animosity towards Charlie Sheen?  Hehehe.  They not only gave him a violent ending, they made sure he can never come back.  Well, mostly.  If you watch soap operas, you know to never say never!

Ashton Kutcher plays an internet billionaire who is introduced into the show when he wants to buy Charlie’s house.  Kutcher, known for being a likable and professional actor must be a breath of fresh air on the embattled set of Two-and-a-Half Men.

I’m fascinated by the actor, Angus T. Jones, who plays the young “half”, Jake Harper.  He has grown-up before our eyes and has changed so dramatically in the last year!

From the descriptions I’ve read of the storyline in the season premiere, the “adult” nature of the show is even more prevalent.  I think the writing is incredibly sharp and funny, I wish the writers could move on to some topics other than one night stands but the show is so very funny that what would normally be offensive slips by usual sensibilities.

Do you watch?  Do you think it will be better without Charlie Sheen or lose it’s edge?  Will you watch this season?

I am glad to hear that Aston is not playing the part of Charlie, regardless of his reckless life there is no replacing him in that spot.
That to me is like someone else playing Johnny Depp’s part in Pirates. Nobody could do it. They both earned the crown so to speak in creating their characters.
I am passing this on to my sister who also watched 2 1/2 men, because we both were discussing this. Thanks so much for the head’s up on the show ! And I do plan to watch it !

I am sure that the first show will have a very large audience to find out what happened to Charlie on the show. But only time will tell and good writing will tell what happens next…

I am curious to see the new show. I hope it’s as good. It use to be one of my favorites and I was so disappointed when Sheen ruined it.
