Rosie and I are going to be spending a weekend in Washington, D.C.!

We’re meeting three other families to explore that fabulous city!  Do you live near there or have you visited?  Any advice for us?

The children going are 3 almost seven year olds, a nine year old, and a 12 year old.  All girls!

What’s fun for the kids to do in Washington?

We’re  going in August, arriving on Thursday and leaving on Sunday, so we’ll have Thursday evening, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday morning.

Any restaurant recommendations?

Any hotel recommendations?

Please leave a comment with any ideas for us!

Oh how exciting! We are going too this summer. Let me know what you recommend. I have been told if you are going to see one presidential momnument, make it be the Jefferson monumnet. I have been told it is the prettiest.

How fun, one of my favorite places to visit!

I highly recommend going on a tour bus to see the monuments, white house, and so on – best way to see the major sites.

I think the Smithsonian museums (free) are appealing to all ages and the National Zoo (also free) is a treat.

The seafood is amazing! If you can head out to the harbors for the best spots, but Legal Seafood in D.C. is awesome (though a little spendy,) too.
