“The Chicago White Sox will host the seventh annual Weather Day, presented by WGN-TV, prior to the game on Thursday, May 7, when the White Sox take on Detroit at U.S. Cellular Field at 1:10 p.m.Â
In celebration of Weather Day, WGN Chief Meteorologist Tom Skilling will host a 45-minute presentation and special Q&A session with fans at 10:30 a.m. Additionally, WGN Morning News Weather Anchor Demetrius Ivory will throw out the game’s ceremonial first pitch.Â
In order to attend the Weather Day activities, specially priced tickets are available for purchase at whitesox.com/wgn or by calling (312) 674-1000. Tickets for the event will not be available at the U.S. Cellular Field ticket window.
Fans attending can enter through Gate 5 starting at 10:00 a.m. The presentation will begin promptly at 10:30 a.m.”
